2011, Lusitano/QH, 16.1hh gelding.
First of all, Suede, is my (Devanee’s) personal horse. I do sell my personal horses ever so often and Suede is going to be one of the best I have had in terms of suitability for a student’s ‘Super Horse’. The reason I say this is that he has an outstanding easygoing and cooperative temperament. He’s super sweet, wants to be good, and tries hard. Then there’s the physical talent he exudes. His gaits are just gorgeous but also extremely smooth. Like many of the Lusitanos he makes lateral movements seem effortless. As for my goals for Suede, he’s well on his way to having the Level 4 Parelli Foundation, with lead changes in every savvy coming along nicely. I’ll teach a few clinics off of him as find the road trips are really good for maturing my horses. We dabbled in some roping last season and this year I hope to use him in some brandings. Suede has always been amazing on trails and obstacles. I could immediately ride him out on his own and he’d gladly take me anywhere. I still haven’t presented him with an obstacle he doesn’t try to figure out for us. He has helped me pony colts during the colt start and he was extremely helpful. I can honestly say ‘Sweet Suede’ is a calming presence wherever he goes. I appreciate him very much, but I also know that he offers the kindness and confidence that so many of our clients are looking for. I’m not in a big hurry obviously, And I’m terrible for not having much photos and video of my personal horses, but I’ll work on that.
Please inquire for pricing as it depends on the timing. My personal horses sell for ($25,000-$30,000)
